Testimonials

Lawrence’s assistance was invaluable to our family and has improved the quality of our relationships with our children. His approach to child guidance is clear, concise and practical and provides busy parents with the management skills necessary to get things back on track quickly and effectively. I would recommend his workshops to anyone dealing with bright, challenging children.

Lawrence’s behaviour management course is a ‘must do’ for staff working with children having challenging behaviours. His parent education workshops are the best available and I have encouraged the parents of the children in our centre to take it. I have also received glowing reports on his in-home counselling work.

Lawrence has changed my life. When I first met Lawrence I was still consumed by guilt and shame for the things I did in the service of my addiction. I thought of myself as a thief and a liar. Retreating from the world I had effectively become a recluse. Lawrence taught me how to change the way I thought about myself. He forced me to realize that I had not chosen to be ill and that I needed to forgive myself. Using a number of techniques Lawrence has helped me to form a positive self image and to become engaged with society again. Thanks to the therapy Lawrence has provided I am a better father, husband and all around person. Recovery can be a rocky road and Lawrence has been there to help me through all of the challenges I have faced on my journey to becoming healthy.

Lawrence is very approachable and non-judgmental. He has the unique ability to connect with his patients on a deep emotional level. Unlike many mental health professionals it is clear that Lawrence genuinely cares about the well being of the people he treats.

I would not hesitate to recommend the counselling services provided by Lawrence Sheppard to anyone who is struggling to recover from an addiction or mental illness. I encourage anyone who is suffering from a mental illness or addiction to seek out Lawrence’s services.
