Office Policy

 

Confidentiality

I respect your right to privacy. All information shared is treated with strict confidentiality. It is only released to third parties at your request and with informed consent. The only exceptions to this policy are:

 

•  Clinical records subpoenaed by the courts
•  Disclosures of abuse
•  Disclosures of intent to hurt yourself or others

 

Session Length

 

Unless by prior arrangement, all sessions are 50 minutes in length.

 

Telephone and Skype Sessions

 

I am happy to offer counselling and coaching by telephone or Skype if you reside or work in a location that limits your access to office-based counselling, are away on vacation or simply prefer this way of working, we can arrange sessions on this basis.

 

Cancellations

 

Clients are welcome to cancel and reschedule up to 24 hours prior to a session. Cancellations and missed appointments within 24 hours are billed at the full hourly rate.

 

Payment

 

Payment is by cash or cheque at the conclusion of each session, unless by other arrangement. Some of my services are covered by third party insurance. Please check with your insurer and be sure to specify that you are seeing a “Registered Clinical Counsellor” as this is a particular professional designation.

 

Invoices can be provided, in advance, for workshops and presentations, and payment is due on the day of the event.
